Edgehill Shooting Ground has been in existence for in excess of 40 years and is situated within a beautiful valley with undulating ground on the Warwickshire/Oxfordshire border. The topography allows us to provide interesting and unique targets which will challenge any shooter.
We offer a variety of disciplines from Game shooting layouts to Trap shooting as well as a newly created 60m air rifle range.
The grounds offer an extensive range of Clay Pigeon targets.
We have some brilliant instructors with years of experience which can be booked in advance by appointment.
Our sporting layout is set over 10 stands which offer a wide variety of targets for the sporting shooter.
The majority of our traps are mounted on 4×4 trucks which means we can frequently change the layouts to keep them stimulating and exciting.
We have 2 skeet layouts, one of which, by appointment can be set to Olympic standard clays. We also offer compact sporting, DTL and 3 Separate stands ideal for beginners. New for 2021 we have installed the latest Promatic traps which offer ABT and Univeral Trench these are run on the electronic Progretti System.

We have a NEW 60m air rifle range which can be booked in advance.
Set away from the main shooting ground we have some brilliant layouts specifically for game shooters. The first layout, which has been set up for the last 15 years, offers simulated Pheasant targets in excess of 50 meters high.
The layout is operated using 4 ABT oscillating traps which are mounted on cherry pickers and trailers and are set well above the layout hidden amongst the trees and bushes.
The second layout which was built in 2017 is a Partridge/ Grouse layout, again with the same trap setup used for our Pheasant layout. Both layouts offer a variation of driven birds which are likely to be seen in the field.
These layouts are excellent for beginners who are just starting out and looking to get into game shooting all the way through to the seasoned shot who wants to get their eye in and have a practice before a big day. Even if you are none of these and you are looking for an afternoon of fun shooting they come highly rated!
Set within the grounds of Edgehill Shooting Ground, we can create a half day’s simulated game shooting for teams of 4 – 6 Guns.
The day starts with tea/coffee and bacons rolls upon arrival.
The first drive is Grouse & Partridges which will be followed by soft drinks and light snacks. We then move on to our high Pheasant drive before breaking for elevenses consisting of light refreshments. The day is then rounded off with a third driven of a combination of Grouse & Partridge targets. Retiring back to the clubhouse for tea and cake to end the day.
250 cartridges per person are included within the price of the day.

THE CLUBHOUSE
The clubhouse has been at the shooting ground since the beginning and has a large log burner and small kitchen offering light refreshments. We stock a wide variety of cartridges which are available either by the individual boxes or by larger quantities. We also offer private lessons tailored to suit all levels of shooters and have some excellent instructors.
Throughout the summer months from April to August on a Thursday evening we are open until 9:30pm.
From 5:30pm we have a fantastic BBQ which serves a selection of meats and salads. We welcome all the family to come and enjoy the later evenings.
